FlexLM weirdness

OK, done a number of network installs over the past few weeks, and I've now come across something that just completely bamboozles
me. The Host Name and Mac Address are correct, installed the correct ADLM from the AIP10 disk and when you perform a status enquiry
it returns the following error:

Status
--------
Flexible License Manager status on Tue 2/28/2006 15:51

[Detecting lmgrd processes...]
License server status: @server1
License file(s) on server1: C:\Program Files\Autodesk Network License Manager\License\server1.lic:

lmgrd is not running: Cannot connect to license server system.
The license server manager (lmgrd) has not been started yet,
the wrong port@host or license file is being used, or the
port or hostname in the license file has been changed.
Server name: server1
License path: @server1
FLEXnet Licensing error:-15,570. System Error: 10035 "WinSock: Operation would block"
For further information, refer to the FLEXnet Licensing End User Guide,
available at "www.macrovision.com".

The User Guide does not expand on this further, so I wondered if any of you guys had an idea what is going on here? Could it be ISA
Server yet again muddying the water?

TIA

John,

In the first instance please verify you have configured the debug log file
on the Config Services tab. In FLEXlm 10.1.5 this is necessary otherwise you
will get the error you see (it is also good practice as it is vital for
troubleshooting). There are other reasons for this error but please start
with the above.

Thanks,

Simon.

Hi john,

Yes try to disable all firewall on your server (ISA or ...) just for test.

Thanks Simon - I had overlooked that small point. Getting slack in my old age!
