Flexlm server esri and autocad 2008 config.

I asked this question in the 2008 group before I saw this group. Sorry for
the Double posting.

I was told that ESRI and AutoCAD 2008 could live in the same license
manager. I now see that the FLEX versions are wildly different and that ESRI
says they can't upgrade the FLEX. I have always had better luck with AutoCad
in getting answers than ESRI so I will ask here.

Is it possible to get both AutoCAD and ESRI flex to coexist on one server? I
don't even need it to be with the same FLEX just on the same server. If so
is there a white paper or something to help me out? The dealer did not seem
to know.

Esri has this to say about it.

This answer is not the best for me. If at all possible I really need it to
reside on the one computer that does not get turned off.

Thank you.

We have it set up this way using the latest executables included with
AutoCAD 2008.

ADSKFLEX version 10.8.0.0
LMGRD version 11.4.0.0
LMTOOLS version 11.4.0.0
LMUTIL version 10.8.0.0

Doesn't seem to apply here.

This should be no problem. It's quite straight
forward to do this. Just install both... make sure they don't use the same port
numbers... query the server to see it works... and be happy 🙂

I did talk to ESRI on this and they sent me a
little blurb on what they think needs to be done.

Since
FlexLM 10 and  FlexLM 7 are separate instances, separate executables they
should work on the same machine.

You may
want to lock the vendor daemon to a specific port per

size=3>http://support.esri.com/index.cfm?fa=knowledgebase.techarticles....

face=Calibri size=3> to avoid collisions with the AutoCAD vendor
daemon.

unquote.

I have not tried it as of yet but
I should beofre the end of the weekend.

Thank you for your time.
