Anything work fine but after 30-60 Minutes, the service always crashed.

Here is the message from the debug.log

The service crashed at 9:57 below.

If I restart the service manually now, it works fine for 30-60 minutes.

After this 30-60 minutes, i got the same error (adskflex exited with status 4 signal = 444)

That isnt the first time that I have installed the flexLM service.

But its the first time with a 2014 license file.

With all other license server i never had problems.

What I have done:

  • reinstall flexLM
  • disable MS firewall
  • disable and deinstall McAfee anti virus software

Please excuse my "not so perfect" englisch 🙂

Thanks for any help / ideas.

Best regards,

Manu

You have done nothing wrong.  I have found on multiple occasions (since I do this daily) that the newer releases of the adskflex.exe vendor daemon of the NLM is problematic on 2008 R2.  What I have found though, is that the older 11.7 release of this file does not experience this problem.

Here is what I suggest you try:

1.  Stop the LMTOOLS service.

2.  Copy in the adskflex.exe from 11.7, overwriting your 11.11 version.

3.  Start the LMTOOLS service

4.  Monitor the results.

You can get the 11.7 executable from the attachment in my post here:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Installation-Licensing/Autodesk-Network-License-Manager-2014/m-p/38199...

Good Luck!

I suspect there is a problem with your license file. Make sure it matches
the system settings tab. If not, generate a new one. You can't edit the
file to make corrections.

I replied to your PM.  Also, what do you get when your PING your servername from the server itself?  It could also be an IPv6 issues besides just the firewall.

If I ping the server from itself I get an reply in IPv6 but thats normal i guess isnt it?

The windows firewall on the server is still disabled.

But I have to say, i had no problems since I changed the adskflex.exe file.

FlexLM runs fine until now.

Well you can put the adskflex.exe back. See my IPv6 link to resolve that

I just had a customer with the same error message that Manuel started out with ("adskflex exited with status...") and downgrading adskflex.exe helped in this case. Thanks Travis!! In case anyone needs the 64-bit version I have uploaded it here: http://d.pr/f/kfkW

Hello guys,

i have the same issue but with the 11.12 version.

As it is mandatory for 2015 version, do you have some ideas of what can be done?

Thanks for your help
