File may be locked by another process or have been set Read Only - after install

I have the exact problem as described in this post:

My question is how to change this setting after it has been already installed. Is there a config file that controls this or a registry setting? I can give all users write permissions to the c:\Program Files\Autodesk folder but for security purposes i would hate to consider that.

I have changed the settings in the deployment package to point to the User's profile to move forward just would like to know how to fix the existing.
