have 17 floating licenses for AutoCAD 2000 sitting on an NT 4.0 network (and
NT workstations) and have had no problems with the software client or server
side until this morning. We had a power fluctuation but the server did not go
down/reboot. Right after there was a class in session and when they tried to
launch the software is when they received Fatal Error: Security system
(hardware lock or network license) is not functioning or is improperly
installed. I have exhausted discussions relating to this topic and do not find
anything in the knowledge base. I have tried everything in the discussions.
When I was first notified of the error I could not launch the program on the
server but can now after trying some of the suggestions but still cannot
launch it from any workstation. If anyone has another idea please share I
would greatly appreciate it!!! Terri
