There's a few things you can try.

1.  Make sure that the NLM is still running as a service and that licenses are available.  This means that both boxes must be checked on the Config Services tab of LMTOOLS.

2.  Ping MAILSERV by name and check to make sure that the IP address response is correct and that it is an IPv4 response and not an IPv6 response.

3.  Open the LIC file and ensure that the top line matches the HOSTNAME of the server as well as the MAC ethernet address listed on the System Settings tab of LMTOOLS.  If they do not match, then you need a new license file.  You cannot edit the LIC file and make it work.

4.  Make sure that there are no firewalls on the client or the server that are blocking the NLM files or ports 2080 and 27000~27009.  Make exceptions as necessary.

5.  When complete and running, create two system environment variables on the client.  The first one is named ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE with a value of @MAILSERV and the second is FLEXLM_TIMEOUT with a value of 1000000.

Attempt to connect again.
