Error [-15.570.0] while running Inventor 2011

Greetings to all,

I am receiving an error while running Inventor 2011 installed on a Laptop running on Windows 7 Professional as follows.

A valid license could not be obtained by the network license manager.

If you are still unable to obtain a licsense, contact your administrator.

Error [-15.570.0]

I have also installed the NLM on the same laptop and when i perfom a status enquiry, all licenses are available and unused.

Through search engines, I was able to find some fixes eg Changing of Environment Variables and Allowing port 2080,2700-27009 and disabling of Antivirus but none of these worked.

The error still occur even when i specify the license file.

Has anyone encountered such a problem and knows how to fix it?

Kindly assist,

Peter,

also please make sure you can ping the server name resolving ipv4 address. if not please add an entry for hostname in hosts file.

Hello Hashim,

Thank you very much for the response.

I just want to inform you that the Patch worked for me and now my client is able to run Inventor 2011 installed with the NLM on the same laptop running on Windows 7 Professional.

Thanks alot for the assistance.

HeIlo,

I managed to install inventor 2011 on a computer running Windows 7 Professional which also acts as the licensing server and was able to solve the ip6 problem encountered  while running the software on the same computer by using ip6 support patch.

My new challenge is to get client computers running on Windows 7 too, to check licenses from the server which indicates that the licenses are available for use.

I still get the error above,...error 15.570.0.

Is it possible to get an urgent solution to the problem.

I have three users waiting for a remedy in the shortest time possible.

Thank you in advance.llo,
