Endless activation problem

Hello

I am a teacher at Shizuoka University of Art and Culture. I have a of 3DSMAx 2021 education version installed on my office computer.

Evey time I start the software, I am told I have only a few days left (4 days left today) and asked to activate. I do so, it succesfully activates, I receive a confirmation message - but the next start I have to do it again.

I am correctly logged in the Autodesk Desktop App.

On my account page, the activation status says "sign in" even while I am signed in.

I am worried that the activation process may become impossible when I reach the time limit ?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi @JeromeBoulbes,

When is your education access due to expire?

You can check at https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview

@leowarren34thanks

Well , I guess in 3 days now ? as I said in my first post I have a message saying "x day left"

I understand the registration as to be redone every year, and it's about this time of the year for me.

My question was why the registration process is not being "saved". I have to do it every time I start  the software.

and my Autodesk account ask me to signin even while I am signed in.

I include the screenshot :

I have this message and click activate :

I receive ths answer and can use the software correctly

Hi @JeromeBoulbes,

Go to this link: https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview

Login.

You should see something like this:

expiry.png

As you can see my educational access expires on July 17th, for you it will show when you need to renew.

I would also try requesting 3DS Max again from this page - recently my Inventor 2021 ran out so I requested from this and it renewed.

@leowarren34

Thanks ! It did help.
Actually, I was not recognized as a Educational account on the page that you linked to me, and I had no validation date displayed.

After a bit of research, it turns out that my 3DSMax was not installed with my Educationnal account, but with another account from a previous life - Strange thing is, the Autodesk Desktop App was with the correct account....

Reinstalling 3DSMax solved the problem.

thanks again
