Elan adlm with win 2003 server

In case anyone is curious, I just had a customer try to install the 2000i
adlm with Windows 2003 server.

No success.

It seemed to go through the install process, but it didn't even create the
program folder or group. It looks like win 2003 server handles the control
panel differently - hence it couldn't create ad_elmd.cpl.

I told him that he's probably going to have to find a win2000 server.

Again, I'm just reporting this in case anyone is curious.

Sincerely,
Drew Burgasser

I forgot one thing - he has also installed the FlexLM on this win 2003
server and that DOES seem to be working properly.

We are successfully installed AutoCAD 2000I N/W license on Windows 2003 server

You need to manual add the ADLM service, Because setup is not able to add service.

Did you ever get help with this? I know find myself in the same situation. Some of the previous posts said it could be done manually, but no directions were given. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Michael

What if the Elan LM install will not even run on the 2003 server? Did anyone encounter this and still get it working.
