Eduactional Verison

Hy!

I have one question about buying AutoCAD 2007 Educational Version.

Who can buy the Educational Version and is it legal to have courses on this version? The courses are not for free, because our company is Educational institution for delivering computer knowledge.

Thanks for the answer(s).

Generally (not always), buyers are asked to provide some sort of ID to
show that they are full time students, or teachers.

If you qualify and get one, you then need to understand that anything
you produce with the educational version cannot be used in a
commercial version as the resulting drawing will then be considered as
having been prepared using an educational version.

We have Educational Versions of AutoCAD 2000, Inventor Series 5.3, ADT 2005, they all are Network Versions. Now we had to buy new version of Inventor Series and our local reseller tells us that Eduacational Version in not legal to have paid courses on this version. We do not do any commecrial projects on this version, this version is explicit for learning.

Can we have EDU version for our Courses wich are commercial?

The student versions of Autodesk products are just that; meant for student
purchase and use. Students purchase these versions in order to be able to do
their homework at home or on their own laptops. That's it. Not for use by
a company - whether that company is producing drawings and designs or
whether that company is producing people that can someday do the producing
of drawings and designs.

Your reseller needs to hook you up with an AER, Autodesk Educational
Representative (if they are not an AER). An AER can get your school into an
appropriate ACES (I don't remember what the initials stand for) program for
the software that you need.

I doubt it as you are required to be a fill-time teacher or full-time
student to qualify. Running commercial courses in AutoCAD does not
involve full-time students or teachers.
