E-mail temporary license?

Hello:

Is there any recourse for laptop user(s) who have left the office w/o
borrowing a license? This has happened numerous times recently. Under the
pressure of preparing for a trip, they simply forget to borrow the license.

Can a temporary license be e-mailed to the user? If not, we're going to
have to convert all of our laptop network licenses over to standalone to
eliminate this problem.

Thanks in advance,

Convert your network version on your laptop into a stand-alone trial version temporarily. It will give you access for 30-days and will only work once... but it will work and is a good solution.

Make a change in the registry to do this. I have posted the solution to this problem in this forum many times. Search for changing network to stand-alone.

Good luck.

Or you can purchase one standalone license, and email that to them.

Hi,

No solution to send by email a license.
If your laptop users use 100% time AutoCAD then yes it will be the solution
to convert to standalone.
Cost = 0.

Some places have chosen to set up remote-dialing (RAS) solutions as
backups for WAN failure. Something like this might work for you; you
could keep it offline except when this happens, then plug the modem into
your fax line and let the user dial up and borrow a license?
