I tried just repairing an MDT6 install (it's running on a network serial number), but it didn't fix it. I'm tempted to try the Reinstall option using Add/Remove > Change > Reinstall, but I really don't want to if it will trigger a reauthorization process. Our licenses and allocations are kind of screwed up right now and I don't want to add grief to our IT guys (located two states away).

You can freely uninstall and reinstall without affecting the license.
The uninstall only removes files created during the install. The license is
created during the first launch, when you authorize it, and so remains after
an uninstall or a repair.
