Deleting a subkey in the user registry??

Am upgrading to 2002 - the uninstall routines from Autodesk do not
effectively clean out the user registry settings of 2000i. The net effect is
that a users previous settings from 2000i are attempted to be applied to the
new AutoCAD install thereby blowing up the installation. I am looking for
examples of a vbs script or suggestions on a way to completely clear out the
Autodesk key and sub-keys under the HKEY_USERS key before running the 2002
installs

i.e.

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-206908930-232826882-334337264-1008\Software\Autodesk

Each user has their own unique key name (i.e.
S-1-5-21-206908930-232826882-334337264-1008). I am mystifyed as to how you
would access the key name of the currently logged in user to write the
script. Its easy if the key name remains static such as in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE; but this has got me stumped.
Any ideas or guidance out there?

Thanks much in advance for considering this and any advice you may be able
to give me....

Hi Jim -

You're making this to hard. Don't try to delve into
HKey_Users\blah.blah.blah to get to the current use, that's what the
HKey_Current_User key is for.

Example:

Log on as user S-1-5-21-206908930-232826882-334337264-1008 and then compare
the reg settings under
HKey_Users\S-1-5-21-206908930-232826882-334337264-1008 and
HKey_Current_User. You'll find all of the same values. If you want to edit
the registry for the current user, just edit the HKey_Current_User section.

Thanks Jason,

As the straw man said "If I only had a brain......"
Of course, it now seems so apparent.....thanks for turning the lights on for
me.
