Current vs. Previous Version License Question

I did some searching to try and find the answer to this question, but didn't see anything, so here I am asking!

We've purchased several licenses of AutoCAD LT 2011. Our intent will be to acquire previous licenses for LT 2009 and we'll be running 2009.

But in the meantime, can someone Activate a copy of LT 2011 and when we're ready to go live with all our customizations, convert the previously activated 2011 license into a 2009 license? Or will we need to buy a new serial number in order to acquire a 2009 one?

I guess in a nutshell, if I activate a 2011 key, can I still get a 2009 key?

The short answer on this is if you purchased your 2011 licenses with an active Subscription, then you can request a previous use serial number for the 2009 product.  You can install both 2009 and 2011 on the same computer under Subscription, but you can only use one at a time to stay within the bounds of the EULA.
