Welcome. I need to take advantage of the 3DS Max 2014 taken from you, unfortunately, when you run the installer error

I do not have anti-virus or firewall, what should I do?

I am having the same problem getting the "communication failure" message. I have attached a screenshot of my error. You mentioned trying "Download Now or Browser Download". I cannot find those options. If you could direct me to that I will try these alternatives. Otherwise, maybe this problem has been addressed and you can give me tips. I am using WIndows 7 - 64 bit

Thank you,

Marisa

Hello Kurwa and Marisa!

This one could be related to a number of things, including your firewall. Can you try disabling it altogether, or opening these ports.

If that doesn't work I'd recommend using a different download method, specifically the Browser Download option which can be accessed via Matt, our Virtual Agent.

From Matt: Download and Installation -> Software Download Links -> I need to redownload my product

Here to help if additional assistance is needed, otherwise please accept as a solution so that others can benefit from this information!

Hi Marisa,
Go back to the Autodesk portal, click on Install Now, after accepting the EULA, a Setup.exe will start getting downloading. Till the time its download finishes, do not click anywhere else on the web page and do not close the web page. Once the downloads finishes, then run the Setup.exe. Wait until the main installer launches.
Once the main installer launches, then you can close the web page. Hopefully, this will resolve your problem.

Thanks & Regards,

Also, in the post you mentioned AutoCAD but in the screenshot the setup.exe is selected for IDSU suite. So, this will not work. You need to launch the Setup.exe which is downloaded for AutoCAD.

Thanks & Regards,

I have been trying to install IDSP 2014 for weeks.  Same errors as those previously listed...Communication Failure if I try Install Now and that is with firewall/AV off.  If I download Download Manager nothing happens.  If I spend the excruciating time doing the Browser Download in the four parts.  I always get an error saying some files must be missing.  For the money we spent on this, I find it ridiculous that we do not get the actually CDs since this is obviously so large and cumbersome!

Hye i am trying to download maya 2014 but there seems to be issues with downloading and it just disappers

I using a HP G62 Notebook PC i was wondering if it is the simple fact that my system is a little bit older.

I also tryed 2013 and that one gave me the communication failure error that seems to be so famous among the many people that are in this form. I need this software for my college class.

Please use web download. There is no solution besides that.
