Civil 3d can't open

PROBLEM SOLVED!! 

Thanks Vivek! And thanks to all that responded previously. It turns out, after applying the fix and launching C3d 2010 again, it had actually never launched correctly at all. Even on previous uses, I have access to menus and ribbons I hadn't seen before. Thanks All. There is absolutely no substitute for the power of this knowledge base of users and Technicians.
