Civil 3d 2011

We installed Windows 7 64bit and C3D 2011 on my computer. It has been an awful trial period. We are having super slow loading, plotting is unbearable, and at times I cannot even work in my base drawing. Does anyone have any ideas.

Can you please explain in detail each different problem you have?
Is a Beta version or a final downloaded version?
Did you try installing in a different machine, same problems occurring?

This is a full download of the software, not a beta version. We installed windows 7 and C3D 2011 on the same day. Since then I have slow opening times up to 3-4 minutes at times. Plotting takes about 5-6 minutes per sheet. Right now I open my base drawing and it just sits there and acts like its working but will not allow me to do any work, therefore our entire project has come to a screeching halt. I kind of feel like there may have been some sort of problem with opening a 2010 drawing and bringing it forward into 2011. We have uninstalled and did a clean reinstall incase there were any errors with the original install. Currently I am the only user of 2011.

Civil 3D 2011 on W7 x64 is much faster compared to prior versions and Oss.
Can you please try opening one of the tutorial files (ie C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011\Help\Civil Tutorials\Drawings\Corridor-1a.dwg).
This drawing should take around 12 sec. to open in W7 x64 bit machine with 8 GB of RAM.
If it takes much longer to you to open, you should consider verifying the RAM, the graphic card drivers, or other potential conflict in your system.
