I have just installed autocad student version without a problem however when I try to install inventor student version the installation seems to begin, then windows explorer pops up a message, when I click OK the installation stops and inventor indicates that it has failed to install.
See below for the message that windows gives me,

You might see if you can update your MSIEXEC and redownload the Autodesk installation files. It seems it is not passing the correct information to the installer and throwing an error. Is this a download install, a media install, or a deployment install?
Hi all,
I have also encountered this problem.
I struggled for half a day... had tried many solutions found online... but they did not work out...
Finally I looked at the Setup Log file and found the problem was cause by the C++ 2005 redistributable...
Looking at the Setup.ini file, two lines of parameters were deleted!
Everything became fine then (an extra 'Yes' to click during installation)!!!
I am so happy with this solution and wish this help!
Cheers.
