Cannot activate Maya LT 2015 on OS X or WIndows 8

I have tried every possibe trick I could find in the forums and knowledge center with no success. I just purchased a subscription to Maya LT 2015 and I cannot for the life of me get the program to activate. Everytime I open Maya, I get the "Establish and internet connection" message screen. I have tried installing this on OSX native as well on Windows 8 within Parallels and both are giving me the same error.

How can I get this fixed so I can use the software I am actaully paying money for?

This was not the correct solution to my problem. 

To get my software working correctly, I needed to download and install the latest service pack / extension for Maya LT. The software installed by default wont open without the most recent service pack installed.  Once the latest service pack was installed everythign worked perfectly.

Please change this to the correct answer to this problem.
