Can't open Revit 2014 on Windows 8.1

Have installed/uninstalled Revit 2014 (student) multiple times using the different download options, installs successfully but unable to open it, occasionally will manage to get splash screen , but will display "Revit 2014 has stopped working" message seconds later.

Have tried changing display settings/graphics card is up to date/using a different user/running as administrator/using compatibility mode, and still not working.

specs:

OS: Windows 8.1

TOSHIBA Satellite Notebook

Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-3317U CPU @ 1.70GHz 1.70 GHz

4GB Ram

64-bit OS, x64 based processor

Intel HD 4000 Graphics Card

Please help!!!

Hello. Delete your ADSKFLEX  TSF.data file and try again.

Windows XP:

Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FLEXnet

Vista/Windows 7:

C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet

If this still does not help, look in your Windows Event Viewer. Do you have any failing modules? If you have any LMU.exe failing modules, you could have a conflict with a Windows Update.

  •         Navigate to START > Control Panel > Programs and Features.
  •         In the left panel, choose "View installed updates".
  •         Search for "KB2962872".
  •         If it is present, unistall it.
  •         Repeat process to uninstall "KB2976627" and "KB2977629".

Reboot and start program. After you activate, you can let the windows updates reinstall.

Hi,

Tried all of the steps you listed , apart from deleting KB2962872 as I did not have it, but still not working, no change at all.
