can't install SketchBookPro

It installs, then when I click on the icon (or try to run it), says:

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b).

I'm installing on a Vista/Dell.

Would appreciate some help, thanks

OK still waiting for help. This isn't the easiest site to maneuver. I just want to install the software I bought. I'd heard so much good stuff about it. It says it works for Vista yet it's not installing. Did I waste my money? I planned on buying 2 more copies for my kids and I had hoped to work on my project this week, but the week is passing and I'm still waiting for an answer. I'm not a computer guru. I just want it to work or I can send it back and buy something else.

Thank you,

Pat Hauldren

Yes, but I exited it to try that and didn't work. Do I have to remove the virus program? (It's AVG)

this is most likely an OS issue or a hardware issue or your anitvirus software is blocking the program

Yes, I mailed them. They have no idea, just say it's the OS. The OS is Vista and it's up to date.

some update

after deleted all windows security updates, beyond aug , means all august and september updates, computer worked faster and i could install with no any issue..

beta testers should check after  each windows  update , make sure  programs still working.. should save a lot headache for  upcoming new users..
