Hi!
I tried to install REVIT MEP 2012 student version, and this is the message I get : "contentpackui.dll fail to load". And then the installation stops.
can anyone help?
Thanks!
Hi carl_savard,
Welcome to Autodesk Discussion Group.
Please attempt the installation on Diagnostic Mode and ensure you have Local Administrator permission on your machine. Let us know if that works.
Thank you.
Hi!
I am administrator on my computer, but i can't find the "FLEXnet Licensing Service" for the startup in diagnostic mode.
However I did some more researche and, would it be possible that REVIT MEP 2012 can't be installed on windows 8 (because that's what I'm running)?
Thanks!
Revit 2012 is definitely not supported on Windows 8. Neither is 2013. Only the 2014 product is supported.
You might sign up to get the 2014 student edition.
Well that explains it!
With my student account the Autodesk website allows me to download the 2011 and 2012 version. Is there a way to get the 2014 REVIT MEP student version (or LTE) direcly from Autodesk at no fees like the 2012 one?
Thanks all!
The student program is still active for 2014. You should be able to get it here:

My bad!
I did'n see that MEP is now part of the REVIT package.
Downloading now!
Thanks!
Downloaded REVIT 2014, now while trying to install, it says that adDLM.DLL is missing, and installation won't start...
Those Autodesk software are hard to install haha
any insight?
thanks!

Agreed!
Right-click your setup.exe and change the properties to run as Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode. Then run it as Administrator.
Did that, now the installation screen appears, (no more .DLL problems) , but now REVIT says that it can't be installed on my explotation system.
Oops, that was my bad. Revit 2014 is not supported on Windows XP. See if it will fly with Windows 7 compatibility.
No problems, I'm just glad someone is helping!
Setting it on windows 7 gets me back to the .dll problem. it won't start installing.
Well the problem is with the Autodesk Download Manager. *ugh*
I tried to redownload the software with my anti-virus off (just ito see) and same problem...
AdDLM.dll is still missing. Should I try to find it online and place it in my System32 folder?
You say the problem is with the download? Is it incomplete from Autodesk direcly?
Thanks!
Hi carl_savard,
Please download the 32 bit or 64 bit installer from the download link.
To enhance the download throughput, you may wish to seek your IT specialist advise in optimizing the download speed. That said, the installer links can also be downloaded normally via the usual web browser, without the need to optimize throughput (though with longer duration).
Please let us know if you need further assistance. Thank you.
I downloaded the 64 bit version with the link you provided, tried to install with compatibility mode on windows 7 as administrator...and no dice.
I'm still getting the "can't find AdDLM.dll" problem.
Thanks!
Locating the AdDLM.dll file might be a good start. Have you searched for this on your computer already?
Yes I did. It's nowhere to be found.
Is it possible to install AdDLM.dll on it's own?
You might try installing to another computer and seeing if this file can be obtained. I do not have it on mine. Sorry.
