Laptop configured for dual-boot with Windows XP Pro 32-bit on one disk and 64-bit Windows 7 Pro on the other. Revit 2011 64-bit installs and runs fine when the PC is booted Win 7 64-bit.
When booted in 32-bit XP, Revit 2011 will NOT install. Setup screen says that Revit 2011 is already installed.
Need to run 32-bit version to use Revit DB Link 2011 to export to MS Access, a feature not available in the 32-bit environment.
Found many references to Revit 2011 in the XP 32-bit Registry and deleted them. although Revit 2011 was never installed in that 32-bit environment.
Any ideas??
Just a thought, but you may want to try the Microsoft Windows Clean Up Utilty to make sure any Revit 2011 (including any betas) is cleaned off. You can get the free utility from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301 .
You can also check out the following technical solution to see what you need to remove for a clean uninstallation of Revit: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=14633513&linkID=9243099
Hopefully, this helps,
