Borrow without starting AutoCAD

Is it possible to set a windows menu or shortcut to check out a license without starting AutoCAD? If the user forgets to borrow a license before going off-site, it is problematic to have to run AutoCAD and get the license over VPN.

You could try lmutil with lmborrow argument from the command line or through
LMTOOLS but I think AutoCAD does not support it so there might be some other
trick that would be needed for it to work.

I am about ready to say Hasta La Vista to this Discussion. Why change a good thing?

Hoping I finally got this thing figured out on my username. What a nightmare.

Why change a good thing - do you mean the discussion topic or the new login thing?

hahaha, the new login thingy. Finally got my username back after changing it like 3 times. Ridiculous. I am going to try something about the borrow while away from the NLM... See if it works.

I am very creative when it comes to the License Manager...
