Solved: Blank Activation Window Maya 2015

So I heard that I'm not the only one with this issue. I have downloaded and installed Maya 2015 onto my computer, however, when I try to activate it I get a blank activation window with two radio buttons. I have tried all the steps on this page http://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Register-Today-Product-Ac... but nothing is working (including reinstalling). For comparison I downloaded it onto my laptop with no problem except that mentalRay is nowhere to be found. Has anyone else been having the same problem and possibly have a solution to it? In all of my years of using maya I have never had this problem until now.

Did you roll back your Internet explorer? This has been the primary cause. This window used Internet explorer functionality and yours is currently out of sync. Did you follow the IE uninstall process and reboot?

I did try rolling back IE to version 8 and still no luck. I've also turned on all the activeX controls as well as the java scripts as mentioned in http://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Register-Today-Product-Ac... I've gone through all of the solutions and nothing has worked.

Not sure if this makes a difference, but now that I remember it even when I had the 30 day trial version working on my computer, Maya wouldn't let me input my activation code at the time.

Is there any chance I can activate Maya online without having to launch the product on my computer?

Thanks to my dad we were finally able to find a solution. The problem was that some part of McAfee antivirus was causing my activation screen to be blank. Even though I was pretty sure that I didn't have McAfee on my computer, downloading the McAfee component remover did the trick! Does anyone have a solution for Mac? I am trying to active Maya on my Mac. When the screen for TRIAL or ACTIVATE comes up when I launch the app I can hit TRIAL and it works fine but when I attempt to hit the ACTIVATE button the screen disapears and a black screen pops up. The app just cycles for a minute and then the computer shows the app isn't responding and I have to force quite the application.

I've tried reinstalling several times. I've tried service packs 3,4 & 5 updates without anything changing. I'm currently running OS X 10.8.5 on a Mac Pro 2 x 2.66 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon,14 GBs of RAM and 43 GBS of free space on my drive.
