Autodesk Maya 2011 - wrap function in paint effects

In the paint effects panel, when i select the option "wrap canvas horizontally/vertically" ( the icon option, with the squares and the arrows) it does not apply the option to the canvas. Only works when i select the same option in Canvas>Wrap> Horizontally/Vertically.


Does my Maya work wrong  ? Is this a malfuction tool or i applied something ? How to reset to default settings ?
