Sorry for the long title...
So, earlier this year we bought 5 licenses of Autocad Map 3D with the subscription service, which were upgraded by Autodesk to "Autodesk Infraestructure Design" (we didn't know at the time it was upgraded), everything was working fine; we use the network license scheme with a single server.
However, a month ago we bought an additional 3 Licenses of Autocad Map 3D, again, with subscription service, we requested the new license file so we could have 8 computers (5 from the previous purchase + the 3 of the new one) at the same time from the same server.
It didn't work, after a couple of new license files that were sent our way it still wasn't working, I was then told it was because the first 5 licenses are Infrastructure while the 3 new ones are Map 3D.
I was told (by an Autodesk distributor -the one that sold me the licenses- haven't talked to Autodesk directly yet) of an option to upgrade the 3 new ones to Infrastructure (I honestly just need Autocad Map, actually) but that even then I would need to unify the contracts so that the 8 licenses "expire" at the same date.
Is this normal? Shouldn't it be enough for the products to be the same for them to coexist in the same license server?
Otherwise it would seem that every time I needed more licenses I would have to wait for the term to end so it would be synchronized with the other licenses.
Am I missing something here?
Summary: what do I need to do to have 5 Autodesk Infrastructure Design licenses and 3 Autodesk AutoCAD Map 3D licenses, purchased at different times, on the same server and be able to have 8 computers running autocad map 3d at the same time?
Thanks in advance and sorry if its confusing.
