I have searched high and low for a solution to this with no avail. I got an error a few weeks ago loading the software and ultimately tried first to repair, then to remove and reinstall. Everytime I try I get an error message as follows:
Error 1904.Module C:\program Files (x86)\Autodesk Shared\dwf Common\dwf_vshell.dll failed to register. Hresult -2147220473. Contact your support personnel.
I have no idea how to correct this. I need this software to review documents from clients. Any assistance is appreciated.
Wow so glad someone from Autodesk replied because I have a similar error (same number 1904 but different file path).

I have same problem when install Vault professional 2017.
this is my solution.
1. uninstall vault pro.
2. uninstall design review.
3. uninstall all the c++ application in control panel.
4. reinstall vault pro.
