Greetings all;
Rather than pull out the last hair I have left on my skull, I figured I'd turn to the experts for help. I am attempting to install AutoDesk Design Academy via GPO and have met with failure no matter what I've tried. I've followed this document http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Alias/enu/2013/Help/0000-Alias_In0/0001-Install_1/0002-Before_y2/0115-N... and this document http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Alias/enu/2013/Help/0000-Alias_In0/0001-Install_1/0002-Before_y2/0115-N... to the letter, and all I can achieve is a partial install that produces an error that tells me MSVCP100.dll is missing.
Doing a "click" install from the deployment share works as expected.
I can provide more details if necessary.
It appears as if others have had similar experiences with other AutoDesk products, so I'm wondering if anyone has figured out the issue. If so, please share. Thanks!
With GPO installs the big thing is to make sure all the prerequisites are installed before trying to push the software (http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Alias/enu/2013/Help/0000-Alias_In0/0001-Install_1/0002-Before_y2/0115-N... Like .NET Framework 3.5, 4.0 the different Visual Stuido C++ redistributables, DirectX.....
If you look at your media or extracted install location and look at the 3rdParty folder, everything under this folder are the prerequisites required for the different products.
Thanks,
Danny
