Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit 2011 GPO

Hi there

I use AutoCAD and Revit, both 2011 and want to deploy it trough GPO to many Clients.

I used the build-in deployment-function, when you start setup.exe and created an installation.

Now EXCACTLY which MSI and MST I have to use?

Thanks

Have you reviewed the step-by-step instructions for this process in the documentation?

AutoCAD 2011 Use Group Policies to Run a Deployment (online)

Revit Architecture 2011 Use Group Policies to Assign a Deployment to Computers (local HDD)

The location and name of these files will be based on your deployment name.

     Revit Architecture 2011 Example:

          <deployment name>\AdminImage\RevitSetup\RevitArchitecture\Autodesk Revit x64.msi

          <deployment name>\AdminImage\RevitSetup\RevitArchitecture\Autodesk Revit x64-<deployment name>.mst

          <deployment name>\Tools\gpo.mst

Hi

I tried it, it doesnt work 😞

          <deployment name>\AdminImage\RevitSetup\RevitArchitecture\Autodesk Revit x64.msi

          <deployment name>\AdminImage\RevitSetup\RevitArchitecture\Autodesk Revit x64-<deployment name>.mst

          <deployment name>\Tools\gpo.mst

Is there a log-file that I can post?

On the client machines did you first install the required components like DirectX and .Net Framework?

http://docs.autodesk.com/REVIT/2011/ENU/filesInstallGuide/WS1a9193826455f5ff45564f421269b08a8e91142....

A log file does not get created with GPO as the system is doing the install not a user, but you can enable it by this Microsoft document. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/223300

Also on the client check the Windows Event Viewer for error, the the required components are missing as mentioned above the error will be about DirectX missing.
