AutoCAD reinstall problems

We have a network AutoCAD installation. As we were installing to one of our computers the network connection failed and the install aborted without finishing thew setup. Now when we try to reinstall 2000 it says that it is already installed on this machine even though the program is inoperable. Deleting AutoCAD from the machine does not fix this. Can you offer any suggestions?

This is likely unsupported by Autodesk but it should work...

Danger Will Robinson!!!! Editing your registry can completely hose your machine. This
can be dangerous. Do it wrong and you could be wiping your machine and re-installing the
OS.

Assuming that this is the only installation of AutoCAD on this machine open your favorite
registry editor and navigate to
HKLM\Software\Autodesk\Autocad\R15.0

Highlight the R15.0 and press the delete key. NOTE: This will destroy any functioning
Autocad 2000 installation on the machine.

Re-boot the machine, for good measure and re-run the install from the deployment location.

Post back if that doesn't work.
