AutoCad Map 2000 R4 on Windows 2000

We use the ADLM (license manager) with our AutoCad Map 2000 R4 and are
having problems accessing it with our new computers that have Windows 2000
installed. See error message below.

Dialog Box: AutoCad Error Aborting
The message is: "FATAL ERROR: Security system (hardware lock or network
license) is not functioning or is improperly installed".

I don't know if its a compatibility issue or an installation issue. Works
just fine with our NT 4.0 machines.

If its compatibility, is there a patch? Or is 2000i the only option?

Thanks for your help.

Thanks.

Worked like a charm.
Hardest part was finding the file. Autodesk does not make it easy. I did
find a ftp site on the net on someone else's page.

Here's the link for anyone else with this problem.
ftp://adeskftp.autodesk.com/prodsupp/autocad2000/patches/adesksys.dll

Darrell -
Sorry you had to work so hard. I had trouble finding it a few weeks ago as well. If you
click on the link on the tech doc I sent you to it will take you here
http://support02.autodesk.com/Downloads.asp (watch for wrapping). If you type in
adesksys.dll in the keyword box it will take you right to the file (well after a couple of
other links).

Sorry for all the trouble.
