As the topic says , it fails/halts during the installation of Micrsoft Visual 2008 SP1 Resdistributable , with the following message in the log: 2011/8/17:11:48:25 Jan JAN-HP === Setup started on JAN-HP by Jan === 2011/8/17:11:48:25 Jan JAN-HP Launch 2011/8/17:11:48:34 Jan JAN-HP === Setup ended === 2011/8/17:11:48:25 Jan JAN-HP === Setup started on JAN-HP by Jan === 2011/8/17:11:48:25 Jan JAN-HP Launch 2011/8/17:11:48:34 Jan JAN-HP PageOpen LaunchDialog 2011/8/17:11:48:39 Jan JAN-HP PageOpen LicenseDialog 2011/8/17:11:48:44 Jan JAN-HP PageOpen ProductInfoDialog 2011/8/17:11:49:02 Jan JAN-HP PageOpen ProductSelectionDialog2 2011/8/17:11:49:04 Jan JAN-HP PageOpen FullProgressDialog 2011/8/17:11:49:05 Jan JAN-HP Installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable (x64): E:\AutocadInstall\3rdParty\x64\VCRedist\2008SP1\vcredist_x64.exe /q 2011/8/17:12:17:08 Jan JAN-HP Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable (x64) Failed Installation aborted, Result=1603 I've tryed the Registry Tip , Disabling UAC , and some Microsoft Fix It , but nothing seems to help. Hello jana2910,

The Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable (x64) is needed for installation.

If you try to install the component from 3rdParty folder of the installation package directly in your machine, can be successful?

I think it should still be failed.

You can try to uninstall all the Visual Redistributable components from your machine (including the 2010 version), restart machine and install AutoCAD LT 2012 again to see whether can be successful.

Regards,

Helen
