AutoCAD LT 2010 - Stand alone Licensing error

I have installed AutoCAD LT 2010 on a Win XP SP3 system. Logged in as a local administrator, everything will work fine. Logged in as a User or Power User, I receive a licensing error of "Internal Error Message: Not enough rights to talk to service. Error Code: 21"

As I have done more troubleshooting, LMU.exe will launch and not start the FNPLicensingService.exe.

The ACDLT2010ENUAdlm.log shows the following: Computer Name removed to protect system name

For many customers, who have contacted Autodesk Product Support through their Subscription accounts, the -21 license error has resolved it’s self before anyone can react about it. I’d first off recommend a reboot.

Other users who have received this error have resolved it by starting and activating AutoCAD as an administrator, often using the “As Administrator” option when right clicking the startup icon. After it was activated it worked for the “Users” and “Power Users.”

If neither of these works you might try backing up, deleting these files, and then starting AutoCAD again:

Windows 7/Vistal
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ADLM\CascadeInfo.cas
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ADLM\ ProductInformation.pit

Windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\ADLM\CascadeInfo.cas
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autodesk\ADLM\ProductInformation.pit

Also try forcing reactivation by deleting the trusted storage files for the license manager. When starting and reactivating the license system will rebuild these.

Windows 7/Vista
C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data
C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data_backup.001

XP
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FLEXnet\adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FLEXnet\adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data_backup.001
