AutoCAD LT 2006 - Lost Activation after Re-image

I had a AutoCAD LT 2006 license (multi-seat) installed and activated, but the hard crashed and we had to re-image a new hard drive, now we need to put AutoCAD back on the laptop without consuming another license (we were not able to run any portable license utility). Is this possible and how?

We have the old activation number, and the old CD key, authorization number - because I think it was an upgrade.

You could try using the same activation number since your hardware did not change. Otherwise, just reactivate using the same serial number as before. You should be fine.

I tried typing in the authorization number where it asks for the activation number, but nothing - it would not work.

Will it be ok to reactivate and to NOT consume another license?

Also, when doing the install before - this was suppose to be an upgrade, but it did a normal install (looked like a full install) and I don't think it asked for a previous serial. What's up with that? Edited by: jace5869 on Feb 16, 2009 5:55 PM
