AutoCAD commands not working after install

Problem running AutoCAD 2013 or 2011 on a Lenovo W530 (Win7)

In AutoCAD 2013, when entering a command on the command line, it will not execute after hitting enter.  Ribbon buttons appear inoperable also.  Strangely, I can enter commands on the Dynamic Input cursor.  Most basic commands appear to work, like line.  But certain commands that require a dialog box, such as Xref, Plot or Properties pallette will crash AutoCAD.  The Layer command gave an unhandled exception because of a null value in the JIT debug.

It does seem to point to .NET install problem.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled .NET 4 Client and Extension without success.  I have not tried C++.  I would like to see if I can narrow it down to a single component because I've seen this problem before and I want to elimiate the source.  Any recommendations?

I would uninstall AutoCAD and reinstall it using a browser download.  You can download it from the Virtual Agent (#3) here:

I would also re-install your video driver.  The instructions are noted here:

Typically, JIT errors are video driver related.
