AutoCad and Neware 5.1

We are in the process of moving our Novell 5.1 network to pure IP. I guess
my first question is will Autocad run in a pure IP Novell 5.1 enviroment?
Is there anything else I need to change besides my licensing manager? Do
the workstations need to be reinstalled?

Thanks for any help,

Keith

A pure IP Novell environment is not supported for the Elan License Manager.
IPX is required.

Thanks for the help with the server side of things. What about the
clients? Will they need to be reinstalled or can they be modified for IP
only?

Thanks,

Keith,

If the question is - 'I am currently running the license manager on a Novell
Server using the IPX protocol and will be switching to a Windows Server
running TCP/IP' - then yes you strictly speaking should redeploy. Some
customers are known to just change the adesksys.dll on the client machines
to the correct one i.e there is a separate adesksys.dll depending on
protocol.

Simon,

Thanks for your help. This clears up a lot of misunderstandings we have
been having.

Thanks again,

Keith
