AutoCAD 2015 Change license type after install

Hi,

I have installed AutoCAD, MAYA and a couple of other products via a silent install package that was created for us by a 3rd party. The problem is that they have used a single license rather than a network licence and all the clients are now unable to use the product due to the licence being invalid.

I have installed a single network license server and have tested that this works with a freshly installed copy of the installer, configured to point to the license server. My question is, is there a way to update the already installed clients to look at this license server without uninstalling the existing client and pushing out a new client? I'm thinking in terms of either a client config file, or a registry key that can be deployed that will then allow the clients to see the license server.

It's hard to say.  In some instances, switching the registry or the launch icon has worked.  I worked better in older version rather than recent releases, but you can try.

Good Luck!
