Hi There, im trying to get autocad 2014 to install on a lenovo x1 carbon ultrabook, it has an i5 processor and 8GB of ram. win8 x64.

Basically the initialization screen pops up, it look like its gathering information but after a minutes or so the attached error pops up.

any ideas how to work around this??

You need to disable your anti-virus. This is especially true if you have Trend Micro.

Also, consider copying the installation media to your local hard drive and installing from there.
