Hello
I have tried to instal Autocad as a student several times and finally managed to complete the following: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/topics/installation-activation-licensing/get-ready/remove-products/rem...
But still haven´t been able to delete the following keys because i don´t know the product IDs or names (I was told to do it via email)
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products\<Product ID>
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\<ProductID>
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\<Product Name>
Anyway, the error that pops up says: "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid. #264". I´ve looked at similar questions in this forum and still can´t solve the problem. I do need to learn to use this software. I´m using a 64-bit PC on Windows 7.
Would really appreciate a solution
Thanks, José
Hello José and welcome to the forum,
Rather than manually cleaning out the registry to resolve this issue. Take a look at the blogpost linked below for instructions on using the microsoft fix-it tool to do it.
