I have cleared my %TEMP% folder as i've seen in some forums, I have tried reinstalling .NET Framework 4.0, but it's already installed so it just told me it couldn't install since it was already installed. I checked the programs and I couldn't find it there to uninstall and just let AutoCAD 2013 install it...I am running on my windows 8 laptop, and I'm not sure waht to do to install it. I've looked at various other posts and to no avail.

I'm not sure what to do, and I really need this program for my class...I'd appreciate any help I can get to solve this issue.

It is indeed failing on the .NET.  But that is because Windows 8 already has it installed.  You'll want to try my setup.ini editing fix to get around the 1603 error here.

For more information on this process, please see my KB article here:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Installation-Licensing/Install-NET-Framework-Language-Pack-Failed-Inst...

Even though the articlie is about a language pack, you can modify the instructions for the Prereq that is failing in your case.

Install .NET Framework Runtime 4.0 Language Pack Failed Installation aborted, Result=1603

Make sure you update your AutoCAD to the latest service pack after installation, since it is only compatible with Windows 8 once updated.

Good Luck!
