AutoCad 2013 installation to new computer from old (student)

I am a student and want to transfer my 36 month free autocad 2013 software to my new computer. I have done the license transfer on my old computer, tried to download the software on my new computer but got a communication error. I have windows 8 and also tried downloading the Service Pack but it says that I need to have the program downloaded first. I have lowered user account control and turned off all firewalls.  Please help. I'm am out of ideas as to how to get this on my new computer.  Should I uninstall it from the old one?

Hello. Communication errors usually indicates a download issue. Can you try to download the program again? You can get it from here, if you need it. Download it completely and then install.

1. Go to http://www.autodesk.com
2. At the bottom of the page, beneath "Help and Support" click "Customer Service"
3. Click the "Ask" button for the "Virtual Agent"
4. Once the Virtual Agent opens, click "Downloading and Installation"
5. Click "Software Download links"
6. Click "I need to redownload my product"
7. Select the appropriate product and download
