Autocad 2011 - Network License Manager Installation Error

Hello,

I am attempting to install Autodesk Netwok License Manager on Windows 7 Machine.

when the install dialogue gets to "Installing Shortcuts" it gives the following error:

"The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: \\SQL1\StartMenu\Programs\programs. The installation cannot continue. Log on as administrator and contact your system administrator."

This is very strange since the directory in the error message is not on the Machine that I am installing the License Manager.

Why would the installer be trying to write files to the Start Menu on another Host?

Any ideas?  I need to get this License manager installed.

Strange, I can’t recall ever seen the similar error when installing license server.

Please download Autodesk License Server Tools from the link below

www.autodesk.com/licensetools

Then log on with local system admin account, disable antivirus and UAC, and proceed with the installation.
