AutoCAD 2010 and Civil Object Enabler on Windows 7, 64 bit

Noticed after installation of AutoCAD 2010 that it resides @ C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2010.
Isn't this the 64 bit area of Windows?
Is this why the Civil Object Enabler cannot find a product to affix itself to?
Can I uninstall and reinstall the 32 bit program: AutoCAD_2010_English_MLD_Win_32bit.exe into
C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoCAD and then install COE and have them work together?

I have several 64 bit laptops running Civil 3D 2010 and Autocad 2010 as well as a few 32 bit workstations running only Autocad and I need to be able to see objects from C3D in CutoCAD.

Thanks!

Civil 3D 2010 is available in 32 Bit only. For this reason only the 32 Bit version of the Object Enabler has been released.
On other side, is not possible to install AutoCAD 2010 32 Bit in a 64 Bit machine.

However, is possible to visualize the Civil 3D objects in AutoCAD 2010.
In Civil 3D 2010, set the variable PROXYGRAPHICS to 1, before saving the drawing.

When you open the drawing in AutoCAD 2010, the Civil 3D objects are visible as proxy objects.

I do know about Proxy Graphics but it doesn't offer enough functionality. I guess I'm fishing for a 3rd party solution or a trick.
Actually, I have figured out how to make the 32 bit version run, though I'm not happy with the performance; i.e., I get the crosshairs with a cursor attached to it. Now I can't figure out how to get windows to release the cursor or turn it to a null state. Also, the crosshairs are slow and follow the cursor as if on a bungee cord. *sigh* ...burning alot of IT hours on something that should already be available....
