I have a new system running
Windows 7 Pro 64bit
AutoCAD 2010 64 bit
AutoCAD 2011 Civil 3D 64 bit
Snag is when I install AutoCAD Raster Design 2010 it says it cannot find AutoCAD won't install. I tried messing with the setup.ini but it will not install. I suspect it is a problem with the fact that AutoCAD is installed as a true 64-bit and raster design only has a 32 bit install.
is this the solution you tried ?

Is this the file you downloaded
"AutoCAD Raster Design 2010 English Win 32-64bit R1"
No I have the installs from disk that I nomally use for 32-bit installs. When I went to the Autodesk portal there was only 32-bit install available. AutoCAD 2010 I did find the 64-bit install and that is what is loaded.
you should be able to download the file i mentioned from the subs. portal. (at least I can see that using my test account). i not you can open a case with Business center to fix the site for you.
System requirements talks about 64 bit version too.

I'm having the same problem.
I'm running Windows 7 and 64 Bit.
My 2010 Civil 3D installation file says that it's 64 Bit but when I run the setup it installs in Program Files (x86), meaning that it is actually 32 bit and is not true 64 bit.
Then I try to install 2010 Raster Design 64 Bit but it won't install with Civil 3D 32 bit.
I tried to modify the setup.ini file as well but then nothing happens when I run the Raster Design install.
I guess I could install Raster Design 32 Bit, that should work?
Are you creating a deployment or doing a direct install? I mainly work with deployments but this should be relevant either way. It will appear on one of the first few install screens at the bottom there is 2 check boxes. This is a 32-bit and 64-bit install this is where you will be selecting the type.
