AutoCad 2009 fails on launch after an installation

I am trying to install Autocad 2009 on a windows 2008 R2 server. The installation goes through without error but when I launch the application I get the following message:

This version of AutoCAD was not installed properly and some features may not run correctly. You should reinstall AutoCAD immediately to make sure all features are working properly. Do you wish to continue anyway?

I've researched the error message and have been pointed to a registry key error (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.png content type) but in our case it is correct (no extra spaces there), .Net is version 4.5.1 . I'm not sure what else to check to fix this issue. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

thanks,

Anya

You cannot install Autodesk products on a Windows Server.  I am surprised it didn't prompt you about the invalid location on install.  Furthermore, it is a violation of the license agreement. It is not supported.  You will need to install on an XP/Vista machine for 2009.

Please check out the following link regarding supported Operating Systems for AutoCAD 2009... http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/System-...

Why are you trying to install on a Windows Server OS?
