AutoCAD 2008-Serial number storage location

Hello folks,

I was trying to figure out wherer the serial number got stored permanently after autoCAD installation. I could see it in 'Registry Editor' and in 'Help-About AutoCAD'. For standalone license, while changing the serial number in Registry Editor, its reflecting in Help-AutoCAD. But for network license, its not getting updated. Is there any location where the serial number got stored permanently?

Thanks for any help.

Darren is right.  The license serial for a network version is irrelevant anyway because the licensing is held on the server.  The client doesn't need a serial at all.
