Dear all,

Is there any ways to make AutoCAD 2000i, 2000LT and R14 runs in Win2k Pro
without the user being a Power User or Administrator? We have a network here
with CAD users download programs off the net and install themselves and make
the machine in a mess!

Does anybody knows what exactly the area of access rights these AutoCAD
versions required besides grant the user under such high grade of
permission?

Please help!

Thanks,
Vincent

I thought a user only needed to have admin rights during install only? Once
AutoCAD is set up correctly can you not return the user to a normal user
status?

Sean,

You need to be a Power User to run AutoCAD on Windows 2000. Below are some
helpful documents from the online Knowledge Base:

Education, training, and the backing of management as to computer usage
rules takes care of the careless usage by employees of company owned
equipment.

And sometimes, you just have to fire someone to get the message across :smileywink:
