I recently had a case where the user received the following errors:
A) Runtime Error, Program: C:\Program Files\AutoCad 2010admigrator.exe
R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
B) Runtime Error, Program: C:\Program Files\AutoCad 2010\acad.exe
R6034
An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
C) Unable to run AutoCad. This may be due to one of the following reasons;
1) This version of AutoCad was not installed properly, reinstall
2) You do not have sufficient rights to run AutoCad
The user learned that the cause was the corporate security software; when AutoCAD attempted to activate the software would detect the attempt and treat it as a hostile action and block it.
The user's solution was to take the laptop they were installing on home. Since the user had complete control of their home security software they were able to complete the installation and activation.
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=12368365#section9 and 1-800-551-1490 for activation assistance is the preferred method for activation.
Before taking an asset home for activation be sure and check with your IT Department and management that this is an acceptable solution.
