Do you have Alias 2013 running on the system? Also, try deleting the "Prefs" folder?

It is located  in Users/Username/Library/Preferences/Autodesk/*AliasVersion*/Prefs

The Library folder is hidden by default as well.

I only have Alias 2014 on my machine and I tried deleting a folder named "UserPrefs2014" that I found in;

Users/Username/Library/Preferences/Autodesk/Alias/

That didnt seem to work. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but that didnt work either. I have 2013 on my PC and it never gives me any issues.

Any other suggestions?

So I downloaded the .dmg for alias automotve in that link there and installed it.

Install went fine and started up- says "Evaluating Licenses" shows pinwheel mouse in splash page but stops responding.

I went to the activity monitor and it lists Alies as "(Not Responding)" in red.

Here are some screen shots of what I'm looking at and what is going on.

Can you upload a system profiler information of your Mac?

I have noticed that 10.8 can't export as 'Text'.

Can you go into System Preferences > Energy Saver > Uncheck "Automatic graphics switching"?  I want to use the more power video card even when in 'battery" mode.

When you reset preferences for Alias, do you get a choice to choose your mode? i.e. Default/Modeling/Paint.

I am running Alias Automotive 2014 on a MacBook Pro with a Radeon HD 6750M card.

Ok, I turned off automatic switching.

Only sometimes when I boot the program do I get the mode selection.

I can chose a mode but then it gives me an error and freezes

I just deleted the UserPrefs2014 folder before this last program boot and got no mode selection screen.

When I start up the program all it does is display the splash screen and say "evaluating license"; then quits responding.

Hello, I have the same problem that you when I try to run alias autostudio 2015,

Did you find  a solution? It would be very helpful for me right now,

thank you very much

This is quite ridiculous.

Obviously this is a major problem and Autodesk isn't doing much to help it's customers. I have the same issue and have tried multiple things with no solutions. There is no way to contact autodesk directly it just redirects you to a forum when wanting to contact customer support when trying to solve a problem.

Is there anything we can do or just sit here and never have our program run?

Hello, I had that problem, and it seems that is related with the internet
security options that we have or with the internet signal strenght, how
ever, I tried another way of installing it and it worked.
Delete the copy of alias that you are trying to install,
re download the file, or if you allready have it on your computer, thats ok,
While the installation, there is an option that says something like
"install it offline" or something like that, i dont remember the exact
option, the thoing is that it is a different option from the normal one
that is freezing in the start,
When you choose the mentioned option, it gives some steps to follow and
then it gives you a number that can be used to run Alias, just follow
instruction,

That happened to me and thats what i did, and right now I have alias
working in my mac,

Thanks for the response but I had no option during the process and it is still freezing at the startup screen.

Can anyone from Autodesk actually find a solution?

Thanks...

If you are running 10.9 or 10.10, there were free updates.  The best method to upgrade to that OS is to reformat drive and reinstall it clean then install Alias again.  I would stay on 10.9 because it is the OS that we currently support.

This is the list of MacBook Pros we have tested as well.

Do not use Time Machine to bring anything back.  Only do it afterwards and only certain folders.
